The Library vs the Tower

The first thing that came to my mind while I was reading this story was another story of a similar name. The tower of Babel. The tower of babel is a story from Genesis. In the story all the people in the world come together and decide to build a tower that could reach the heavens so that they could challenge God. God sees what they are doing and stops them by making everyone speak a different language. All the people couldn't understand each other and fights broke out, which eventually led to everyone going their own ways across the world. This story is used to explain why there are so many different languages.

There are many connections between the two stories. Both involve people who seek more power/knowledge. In both, language is confusing and hard to understand. People ended up going crazy and killing each other. They say that the universe/library was created by god and that all the known information is within the library.

I think that the tower and the library are the same thing. The library is what the people were trying to build or perhaps they were just trying to copy it. Either way the main point stands the same that you shouldn't try to go after too much knowledge or power because it will only lead to death and confusion.
